Loved the fascinating history of the garden walls, perfect for relaxing with a drink, but don't forget your favorite book. The stained-glass window gave a lovely Instagram-worthy light filter. The old cellars were great for buffet lunches, just watch out for any lurking ghosts!

Ghostly experiences not guaranteed, but the lack of paranormal activity was a disappointment.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious, with great bathrooms. The location was very convenient and close to the lake. It was a nice touch to have both free Wi-Fi and satellite TV with international channels.

The staff at breakfast were not very accommodating and there was a bad smell in the hallway. The breakfast itself was pretty bad, especially the coffee.

Receptionists, particulary one woman who was mostly on duty , tended to be rather surly and gave basic information I asked for in a grudging and unfriendly manner. One man was helpful and efficient, but with a very brisk manner. The efficient but more relaxed friendly manner that I have experienced in most other hotels would have been appreciated .

The staff were very helpful and the food was very good. we booked bed and breakfast but ended up eating dinner every night. We should have booked half board.

The gymn was not really a gym, just a cycling machine and a couple of weights.

The hotel is beautyfull and the views from the rooms are great! Also, the hotel staff provided us a great service. We were very impressed about the dinner at the hotel restaurant ! We´d like very much to come back again and stay a little bit longer.
